Seaside Hights, NJ

July 21-22, 2000

I don't remember anymore whose idea was it (probably Scott's), but I know we decided to leave late at Friday night. Scott and Fred drove us to New Jersey, where we spent the rest of the night in Scott's house. We managed not to wake Scott's parents, who were, as we were told, quite used to seeing strangers in their apartment anyway.

The next morning, we left for the Seaside Hights. It was a beutiful day, sunny and hot. The beach wasn't crowded very much, the only complain was about having to pay 5 dollars to enter. The water was cold, and I could not even get used it slowly since Fred just picked me up and threw me into the ocean.

We really enjoyed the day, noone drowned (though it was a close call, at least for me, because I got swiped by a big wave twice), we walked up and down the beach afterwards (during which Fred and Martha had a fight with ice cubes and ketchup) and then went for lunch to the nearby seafood restaurant.

I should also mention that I got really bad sunburn that day, though I had been warned to put more sunscreen on - but, as usual, I did not listen.
