OK, OK, I will start working on this page. I am pretty busy but still it is nothing in comparison with this summer as you will see when this is done.
My school days started at seven a.m. to give me enough time to drag myself out of bed, take a shower to wake me up, stuff books and notepads into my backpack and at 7.30 a.m. be in Hasbrouck Dining Hall for breakfast. Not that it was difficult to wake up, with the construction undergoing right under my window.
I always filled my plates full and took my time to eat it. Scrambled eggs, cheese, fruit, fried potatoes or bagels, YUMMY. That was the first time, and probably the last time too, when I ate breakfast regularly. Then I had to wait for my lunch box (because I had classes over lunch), which always mysteriously was not prepared on time.
8.30 - 10.25 a.m. Media and Society Class with professor Miller
10.25 - 10.45 a.m. checking emails and complaining about not getting enough
10.45 a.m. - 1.25 p.m. Modern World Class with professor Vanderlippe. Just a note: never ever take this course during summer session if you have a choice.
1.25 - 4.45 p.m. Sitting in computer labs doing homework and surfing the Net at the same time
4 - 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays American Culture Class with Robert Jackson
5 p.m. Dinner time - finally, I was there among the first, starved, and usually stayed until they closed at 6.30 eating, chatting with other.
7 p.m. time to go to the gym to have an intense workout
after nine - depends, either studying or just hanging around with others or going somewhere ...
Like having a soup party or listening to Czech songs with Nao and Theresa, watching Braveheart with Steve, going for a walk to the trip fields (with Nao, Carlos & Theresa), crashing in other people's rooms, talking until morning in the TV launge, celebrating Chiara's birthday ...
For description of local night life go to Theresa's Guide to local bars, for pictures here.
around two a.m. (on average) - time to go to sleep
On some days, we broke the pattern, like on July 4, 2000 - Independence Day.
On weekends, I got more sleep, no gym, only two meals, saw more of USA than campus.
Others slept during their days to be awake at night, either skipping classes or being lucky enough to have school in the afternoon.
